I have been teaching lessons since 1979. Private lessons are offered for ages three and up. Beginning students are started in basic balance seats to learn proper form, safety and skills. Lessons are offered in-saddle seat, hunt, western, side-saddle and basic dressage for pleasure or show.

• Limited lesson slots are offered on CLF horses. However, owners may truck in their own horses for lessons (must have current inoculation records and the horse must be in good health.)
• Safety is stressed and is foremost. This includes the wearing of helmets, long pants and boots with a low heel.
• A liability release must be signed prior to the first lesson.
• The cost for a lesson is:
• Half hour private lesson $35.00
• One hour private lesson $55.00.
• There are limited openings available for lessons taught at your location.
• Local to Woodstock $60.00 per hour
• Up to one hour drive with a minimum of four hours of instruction is $50.00 per hour. (Get your friends together for lessons at your location!)

Morgan Youth Group

The Morgan Youth Group is a small group of children ages six and up. The purpose of the group is to learn about horses. This includes the grooming of and care of horses and their health. There are also field trips, community service and so much more. You do not need to own a horse to be a member, but you must be dedicated and want to have fun!

There must be at least one parent willing to be involved on occasion (this is not a baby sitting service).

• Members of the group must join the Lippitt Morgan Club ($5.00 annually.)
• Members can join the American Morgan Horse Association ($15.00 annually.) This allows them to participate in the national horse mastership program and compete in youth contests.
• Members gain knowledge that will prepare them for youth contests such as public speaking, judging Morgans, written horse/Morgan knowledge tests, and riding or driving tests.

Children's Day Camp

The Children's Day camps are for boys and girls ages seven and up. The camps run Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. On Friday mornings we have a fun horse show (demonstrations of knowledge learned) for parents and families to attend. Ribbons and special awards are given to the children. Cameras are welcome.

• Children ride daily in a half hour private lesson.
• The children learn grooming, the parts of a horse, parts and care of tack, the care and health of horses, feeding, stable management and so much more.
• The camp is limited to six children per week.
• The children bring lunches Tuesday through Thursday. On Friday we go out for pizza after the horse show.
• Call after March for the dates of the camp for the upcoming summer months. If there is enough interest, an April vacation camp will be held. The current price for a four day camp experience is $200.00. A $100.00 deposit is required to hold a spot. The balance is due the first day of camp.
